Notification to Surrender a Premises Licence Licensing Act 2003

Introduction

Where the holder of a Premises Licence wishes to surrender the Licence, they may do so by giving the issuing Licensing Authority a notice to that effect under Section 28 of the Licensing Act 2003.

When giving a notice, it must be accompanied by the Premises Licence (both Part A and B) or, if that is not practicable, by a statement of the reasons for the failure to provide the Licence.

Where a notice of surrender is given in accordance with Section 28, the Premises Licence lapses on receipt of the notice by the Licensing Authority.

This form has been developed to assist in giving a correct ‘notice’.
