Self Nominations to Tenants and Homeowner Forums

Use this form for self-nominations to the Tenants and Homeowner Forums. Only council tenants and resident leaseholders can nominate themselves for representative elections. Successful candidates will be able to attend meetings to:

• Help shape and improve the council’s housing services and ensure residents can raise any concerns they have about the management of the council’s housing services and homes.
• Be consulted by the council on key council policy changes that particularly impact on people living in council owned homes, including the setting of rents and service charges.
• Advise and support the council on how it can better involve residents.
• Receive updates on the performance and delivery of housing services.

The Tenants Forum will focus on tenant specific issues; the Homeowners Forum will focus on homeowner specific issues. Members of both the Tenants and Homeowners Forums will meet regularly jointly to look at issues which affect both tenants and leaseholders.

This might be for you if you are able to commit to attend about nine evening meetings a year in total with the first meetings happening in early 2021.

Training will be provided free of charge. The closing date for nominations is 18 November 2020 by midday and elections will take place at each Local Housing Forum meeting in early December 2020.
