Notes

Care home: A shared home where 24 hour nursing and/or personal care are provided.

Occupational therapy: Support to manage daily activities independently using equipment (like raised toilet seats, grab rails, bath boards, etc).

Severe and profound disability: A disability where the person needs a lot of support from another person, or equipment to carry out daily activities like personal or night time care and eating. This is likely to last throughout their life.

Mental health: How a person thinks, feels and behaves.

Learning disability: A condition that makes it harder for someone to learn, understand or do things.

Abuse: Where someone causes harm or distress to another person.
